Withhold an owner’s mailing address

For PVA office staff.

When an owner’s address has to be protected, this stops PVAToday from showing it to anyone, and from being searched by it.

What happens

It takes effect within about 30 seconds of being stored.

What it does

  • Withholds the owner’s mailing address everywhere PVAToday serves it, from everyone: the public, signed-in county staff, and PVAToday’s own staff.
  • Stops the parcel being found through that address: looking up by mailing address, lists of absentee owners, and the flag that points out neighbors sharing a mailing address.
  • Anyone looking at the parcel is told only that its mailing address is withheld.

What it does not do

  • The parcel, the owner’s name and the values stay public record, and stay on PVAToday.
  • The site address is the parcel’s own address, so it stays too.
  • It does not change the PVA’s own records or any other county system.

Reasons

  • Safe at Home participant: Kentucky’s address confidentiality program, KRS 61.931–61.934.
  • Court order.
  • Owner request.
  • PVA decision: anything else your office decides to protect.

Removing it

Only PVAToday staff can lift a withholding, so one can’t be undone by mistake or quietly. Ask at chat.pva.today.

Withhold a record

Uses your office’s token, the one the web uploader uses. An office can withhold records in its own county only.

Office token: checking…

Which record

Withholds the mailing address on this one parcel.

Never type an address here. Who asked and how it was confirmed is enough.
